PHI and its personnel have created or participated in the creation of web-based applications for educational purposes and to facilitate
interactive, real-time communication. Web-based applications have many advantages
over traditional approaches, in that educational content may be updated continuously,
its reach is potentially limitless, and applications can be amplified through
"online health communities" that engage users in real-time activities
and communication.
